Bekanntgabe unserer New Urban Progress Projekt-Fellows

Am 1. Oktober startet der transatlantische Dialog der 20 VordenkerInnen aus Deutschland und den USA. Die Projekt-Fellows erden sich damit beschäftigen, wie Städte mit globalen Herausforderungen umgehen und dabei gleichzeitig urbane Räume demokratisieren können.

Wir freuen uns, die 20 New Urban Progress-Fellows bekannt zu geben! Bestehend aus Führungspersonen und MultiplikatorInnen der nächsten Generation aus Deutschland und den USA werden die Fellows ein breites Themenspektrum bearbeiten: vom Klimawandel über Journalismus, Internationale Beziehungen, Finanzierungsfragen, Daten und Technologie bis hin zur Stadtplanung. Von Berlin aus bis über San Francisco beschäftigen sich somit die Fellows mit einigen der dringendsten Themen unserer Zeit. Das New Urban Progress Fellowship wird dabei seinen Arbeitsschwerpunkt auf die urbanen Kontexte auf beiden Seiten des Atlantiks legen und untersuchen, inwieweit Städte als Akteure beim Aufbau einer nachhaltigen und gerechten Welt eine Vorreiterrolle spielen können.

Das Projekt wurde durch das Transatlantik-Programm der Bundesrepublik Deutschland aus Mitteln des European Recovery Program (ERP) des Bundesministeriums für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) gefördert.

At Das Progressive Zentrum, Diego was a Project Manager and primarily coordinated the annual Progressive Governance Summit and the New Urban Progress transatlantic dialogue. Diego is also currently the Get-Out-the-Vote Coordinator for Europe, Middle East, and Africa for Democrats Abroad. Before that role he was Chair of Democrats Abroad Berlin and also a Bernie Sanders Delegate to the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

Dr. Maria Skóra

Policy Fellow, Research Associate (Institut für Europäische Politik)
Maria Skóra is a Research Associate at the Institut für Europäische Politik and a policy fellow at Das Progressive Zentrum. Previously, she was head of the International Dialogue program at Das Progressive Zentrum. She holds a master's degree in sociology and a PhD in economics. 2018 Alumna of the Young Leaders Program at the Aspen Institute Central Europe in Prague. 2019 Visiting Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and AICGS, Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC.
