Marjorie K. Connolly was a Visiting Fellow at Das Progressive Zentrum from April to June 2019, as part of a yearlong Robert Bosch Foundation Transatlantic Fellowship focused on comparative health policy and politics. She was the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ spokeswoman for the Affordable Care Act during the final year of the Obama Administration, and then communications director for Protect Our Care, a coalition of nonprofit and political groups that coordinated the effort to save the Affordable Care Act from repeal. She also worked for three years on Capitol Hill as spokeswoman and health policy advisor for Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH).
