About Marco Bitschnau
Marco Bitschnau is doing his PhD in political sociology at the Swiss Forum for Migration and Population Studies (SFM) at the University of Neuchâtel and is also a research associate at the SNF priority project NCCR – on the move. Previously, he studied sociology, political science and economics in Friedrichshafen, Paris and Cambridge and completed internships in Berlin, Saint Petersburg and at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations in New York. His current research focuses on the quartet of topics migration, populism, democracy and the welfare state.
