About Jens Flemming

Jens Flemming is a Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung lecturer and director of the Information Center for the History of National Socialism in North Hesse. In 1989, he habilitated at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and was subsequently a visiting professor at the University of Bielefeld and the University of Kassel. In 1992, he became Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Kassel and taught there until his retirement in 2009. His research focuses on topics of political history, social history, everyday history and cultural history in the German-speaking world.
