Florian Grotz is a Professor for Political Science, primarily for Comparative Government, at the Helmut Schmidt University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg. Before, he taught at the Universities of Heidelberg, Berlin (FU), Würzburg and Lüneburg. He has also held guest professorships at the universities of Moscow (MGIMO), Graz and Puebla as well as fellowships at the European University Institute (Florence) and the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB). His research focuses on the performance and reform of democratic institutions in Germany and Europe.
