Jan Engelmann was a junior office manager at Das Progressive Zentrum. He trained as an office administrator in Greifswald and, after a foray into warehouse management at a car dealership chain, worked for a long time in the IT industry as an office manager, marketing manager and manager for partner companies. Besides working at the Progressive Center, Jan tried to find the time to help homeless people in Berlin. For this purpose, he went on tour with the helpers of the Berliner Obdachlosenhilfe e.V. or spontaneously dedicated himself to people in need of help on the streets of Berlin.
