Dr. Oliver Geden

Dr. Oliver Geden is Head of the Climate Policy Research Cluster at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP). He is also a Research Fellow at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society (InSIS) at Oxford University and at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna. He has been a member of the Executive Board of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since 2023, as Vice-Chair of Working Group III (Mitigation). His work focuses on EU climate policy and CO2 removal from the atmosphere.
