Dr. Leonard Novy

Leonard Novy is a publicist, political consultant and director of the non-profit Institut für Medien- und Kommunikationspolitik (IfM). He also publishes and teaches on topics related to democracy, media and political communication, including at the Hertie School of Governance and the Forum Journalismus und Medien in Vienna. He studied and conducted research in Berlin, Cambridge and at Harvard University. After completing his doctorate in international politics at Cambridge University, he held various positions in foundations and journalism. He has been advising politicians, NGOs and the media in Germany and abroad on strategy development and political communication for 15 years. He is a curator of the international media conference M100 Sanssouci Colloquium, a jury member of the Wiener Medieninitiative and a member of the Circle of Friends of Das Progressive Zentrum.
