Dr. Birte Förster is a researcher at the department “Globalgeschichte – translokale Verflechtungsgeschichte” at the University of Bielefeld on the power history of the decolonization of Africa and is an associate member of the Collaborative Research Center “Practices of Comparison”. She writes for the FAZ, the SZ, and Die ZEIT, among others.
