Alexander Reitzenstein

Visiting Fellow

Alexander Reitzenstein is a Berlin-based Program Manager with Climate Imperative Foundation and Allianz Umweltstiftung, a transatlantic partnership on climate philanthropy. His work focuses on supporting the implementation of the European Green Deal at speed and scale. Previously, Alexander worked with the climate and energy think tank E3G and the German Council for Sustainable Development on international, EU and domestic climate politics as well as in strategy consulting with UN organizations. As a Visiting Fellow at Das Progressive Zentrum he contributes to the program area “Green New Deal” on climate policy and the just transformation. Beyond climate strategies, Alexander is also interested in the resilience of liberal democracy and the future of the EU. He studied public policy and economics in Berlin, London, Munich and Washington, DC.
