Invitation: Daring New Spaces – Summit on the European Public Sphere
Presenting visions of tomorrow's public sphere - and how we can get there
Individual countries will not be able to successfully address society’s current challenges. Only a solidarity-based and networked Europe can rise to the occasion. For this, we need new spaces and methods of collaboration to strengthen the European public sphere. Join us on 10 December, 2:00 – 5:00 pm CET as participants from around Europe come together to debate and discuss the Europe of tomorrow.
For one winter afternoon, imagine what Europe could and should look like in 2025. Join us to explore future visions of a truly European public sphere, learn about promising initiatives for a more connected Europe, and engage in interactive debates on policy proposals with European decision-makers.
As a joint event with the German Federal Foreign Office, the European Council on Foreign Relations and Stiftung Mercator, the Daring New Spaces Summit gives civil society actors, journalists, and academics across Europe a strong voice during the current Trio Presidency of the EU Council.

on 10 December, 2:00 – 5:00 pm CET, online
Official registration is now closed. If you would like to attend the event, please send an email to events@progressives-zentrum.org.
For the past months, the project Daring New Spaces has created bold visions of a European public sphere for the year 2025. These visions were based on expert interviews and developed by young civil society leaders from across Europe using a future studies methodology. At the summit, the most promising ideas and policy recommendations from this process will be presented and discussed.
