Grand Election Night 2021At Rhineland-Palatinate's State Representation
On September 26th, German voters will decide on the future direction of the EU’s largest member state. Rarely has there been an election with such a striking opportunity to shape the social, economic, and ecological terms of German society. Although the race is still open, the chances are high that after 16 years of Chancellor Angela Merkel, Germany will soon be led by a new and progressive government. With such a seismic shift, it is not unreasonable to wonder: could this new era in Germany act as a catalyst for progressive politics across Europe?
With this question and many more on our minds, we will host an exciting election night at Rhineland-Palatinate’s State Representation on Sunday evening, September 26th, 2021.
We will begin by showing the election coverage projected on a large screen. This will be followed by a non-partisan “political reception“, where politicians, experts, journalists, and civil society actors will analyze and assess the results. As Germany’s political future begins to materialize, we will move on to the election night party. The location’s terrace, garden and spacious rooms will allow for informal exchanges and press interviews.
