Bernhard Weßels is Professor at the Humboldt University of Berlin and Deputy Director of the Department "Democracy and Democratization" at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. His research areas include comparative political behavior, mediation of interests and political representation. He is co-head of the German Election Study (GLES) and head of the Manifesto Project (MARPOR).
