 Das Progressive Zentrum operates as a hub in a wide network of political, intellectual, social and international peers. Our thinktank is an interlocutor for intellectual exchange with the following organisations:

• Arenagruppen (Stockholm) www.arenagruppen.se

  A non-profit organisation in Sweden organised as a network consisting of the magazine 'Arena', the publishing house 'Atlas', the thinktank 'Agora', the Arena University, the magazine 'Media in focus', the publishing company Premiss and the Arena Programme unit organising seminars, courses and conferences. Their aim is to be a radical and progressive voice in public debates.

  The Center for American Progress is a well-known progressive think-tank dedicated to creating a long-term progressive vision for America. They believe that only an open and effective government that champions the common good can realise such a vision.

• The Centre (Brussels) www.thecentre.eu

  A Brussels thinktank operating at the interface of European public policy and communications. As a communications consultancy the Centre promotes better communication among business, civil society and public policy leaders in Europe.

• Centre for European Reform (London) www.cer.org.uk

  British pro-EU thinktank devoted to improving the quality of the debate on the European Union. CER offers a range of reform and policy proposals.

• demosEuropa – Centre for European Strategy (Warsaw) www.demoseuropa.eu

  A Polish foundation that seeks to animate debate around the main challenges facing the European Union. demosEuropa supports the Polish governments efforts to have a share in the formulation of a European answer to questions of contemporary world affairs. The Director, Pawel Swieboda, worked as adviser to the President of Poland on EU issues in the years 1996-2000.

  DEMOS Hungary is an independent foundation following the model of similar Anglo-Saxon institutions. The goal of the DEMOS Hungary Foundation is to act as a bridge between academia and political decision-makers, developing new policy solutions that meet the social, economic and political requirements of our age.

  The British thinktank analyses social and political change, which they connect to innovation and learning in organisations. Demos UK works with policymakers, companies, public service providers and social entrepreneurs focusing on six areas: public services; science and technology; cities and public space; arts and culture; identity and global security.

  The European Policy Centre (EPC) is an independent, not-for-profit thinktank, providing its members and the wider public with rapid, high-quality information and analysis on the EU and global policy agenda. It aims to promote a balanced dialogue between the different constituencies of its membership, spanning all aspects of economic and social life.

  Glocus is an Italian thinktank that develops projects and discussions to promote the innovation and modernisation of Italy in economic, social and institutional terms and within the European context. Glocus' mission is to provide "policies for politics", by stimulating debate and discussion, and presenting proposals and experiences from the broader economic, industrial and financial worlds.

  Founded by nine young economists, GEA is an independent research institution that wants to contribute to the economic policy debate in Romania and to provide public policy solutions for the economic problems currently faced by Romanian society.

  The Institute for Public Policy Research is the UK’s leading progressive think tank, producing cutting edge research and innovative policy ideas for a just, democratic and sustainable world.

• Italianieuropei (Rome) www.italianieuropei.it

  Italianieuropei is a foundation established in 1998 with the aim of promoting a Europe-minded political culture and of bringing to the fore new leaders in the various public arenas. It is a research institution as well as a training institution and a forum where the various cultural traditions of Italian reformism can come together.   The Think Tank is connected to the Social Democratic Party of Finland and was founded in 2005.

  The Bruno Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue was founded in 1991, in pursuit of the international activities of Bruno Kreisky. As a permanent centre of dialogue, the Kreisky Forum has made as its principal objective the gathering of politicians, academics and critical minds from around the globe for an exchange of ideas and opinions.

  Founded in 2003, this think tank and its affiliated network are commited to Europe's modernisation. In seminars, publications and media appearances, the think tank publicly advokates that the benefits of modernisation have to be available to all of Europe's citizens.

• The New America Foundation (Washington) www.newamerica.net

  A nonprofit public policy institute that wants to overcome the lack of investment in developing the creative young minds most capable of crafting new public policy solutions. Through its fellowships and issue-specific programs, the Foundation sponsors a wide range of research, writing, conferences and public outreach on the most important global and domestic issues of our time. The New America Foundation is based in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.

  Under the guidance of Jacques Delors who created Notre Europe in 1996, the association hopes to contribute to a closer union of the peoples of Europe. Notre Europe is seated in Paris.

• Per Capita (Carlton, Australia) www.percapita.org.au

  Per Capita is an independent progressive thinktank dedicated to building a new vision for Australia. Their research programme for 2007-08 features two major projects: Australia's fragile prosperity, and Australian kids left behind.

• Policy Network (London) www.policy-network.net

  Policy Network is an international thinktank dedicated to promoting progressive policies and the renewal of social democracy. Policy Network facilitates the sharing of ideas and experiences among politicians, policymakers and experts on the centre-left. Policy Network was launched in 2000 following the Progressive Governance Summits in New York, Florence and Berlin.

  The Progressive Policy Institute is a research and education institute that is a project of the Third Way Foundation Inc. The Institute looks beyond the political left-right division and instead advocates a philosophy that adapts the progressive tradition in American politics to the realities of the Information Age.

  The Romanian Academic Society (SAR) is a thinktank established in1996 which seeks to raise public awareness levels of policy issues..It contributes to this process through research and advocacy into, and for, informed policy formulation. It also assists administrative reform through performance assessment. Thereby SAR plays a role in the efforts to promote good governance in Romania as part of the European integration process.

• Swedish Institute for Futures Studies (Stockholm) www.framtidsstudier.se

  The Institute for Future Studies is a publicly funded independent public research foundation dedicated to futures studies and long-term analyses to encourage an open, broad-based public debate both on future threats and opportunities.

  Terra Nova is an independent progressive thinktank whose objective it is to produce and diffuse public policy solutions in France and Europe and to encourage the renewal of social democracy.
